Sonepar USA’s Capital Lighting & Supply Hosts NEC Code Seminars
Alexandria , VA. – February 28, 2008 - Capital Lighting & Supply, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA hosted two 2008 NEC Code Seminars preceded by Electrical Expo and Product Fairs in Baltimore, MD and Chantilly, VA earlier this month. Both seminars were taught by nationally renowned code instructor Mike Holt.
The seminars covered material on grounding vs. bonding, 1999–2005 code issues by jurisdiction and included important updates on 2008 code changes. The seminar was approved by the local jurisdictions for Continuing Education Units. Over 1000 people attended both seminars and Electrical Expos. Door prizes, giveaways, complimentary food and beverages and several interactive competitions were also featured during the two Electrical Expos, which included over 45 vendors showcasing energy and labor saving products.
"To call these events a success is an understatement,” said John Hardy, President & CEO of CLS. “Mike Holt has a strong following among industry professionals. He is a dynamic energetic speaker whose knowledge of the code is unsurpassed.” He continued, “Providing these educational seminars is just one way for CLS to be a value-added resource for our customers, which represents our commitment to be the electrical distributor of choice.”
The seminars were approved for 8 hours of instructional time toward continuing education. “These seminars are extremely important for people in the industry especially where it is required to maintain licenses,” said Hardy.
