Rapid response when disasters strike

“While 2006 was a quiet year, Cleco would like to thank Irby again for its outstanding performance supplying transmission materials during hurricanes Katrina and Rita restoration efforts.

These disasters were the most devastating storms in Cleco’s long history. Both storms had inland winds in excess of 120 mph. Katrina produced record storm surges and damage along the entire north shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

Cleco could not recover from such events without capable suppliers such as Irby. With quick response, materials for transmission line repair began delivering as soon as roads were marginally passable after both storms. Supply of materials continued until the final structure was completed and energized.

“In an urgent bind with our 285 Columbus Ave Condominium Project, I called NorthEast Electrical for some Value Engineering help. One of your associates very calmly redid the riser design using typical products that we use in these High Rise Condominiums, met with the Engineer, and attended several meetings with the Construction Manager and Developer. Another associate also did the same with the Lighting Package, exhibiting extreme patience working out lighting layouts, and making some excellent substitution changes for some of the originally high priced fixtures. Your associates did a great job getting the Electrical numbers back in line so that the project would actually go forward. Please thank both of them for their efforts. “I just left a meeting with our bid close team on the project. I know Eoff is aware that this job is about the highest priority for all of the electrical contractors in the market. Obviously, we are no different. The meeting tonight was for all of contractors involved in the estimate to get together in one room to finalize our number.
