Spear heading merchandising strategy at Stuart C. Irby Company Stuart Irby Jr., Irby Electric Express Brand Manager
Over the past two years, Irby has opened a total of 13 new Irby Electric Express stores throughout the southern states. Spear heading the marketing and merchandising strategy of this growth initiative is Stuart Irby Jr.
As the grandson of the company’s founder, Stuart grew up in the warehouse taking summer jobs as a material handler, forklift driver and counter salesman. After graduating from university in the top 1% of his class in 2002, Stuart returned to Irby in 2004 and worked in many areas of the business before taking on his current position as Irby Electric Express Brand Manager.
In this role, Stuart will be responsible for merchandising practices, customer service policies and procedures, and advertising and promotional activities as well as assessing and monitoring store performance in customer segment and market penetration, customer service, financial performance and asset management.
“The new Irby Electric Express store concept provides residential and commercial electrical contractor customers with the electrical products and services they need and places merchandising at the forefront of the Irby brand in those markets. It’s an innovative idea and I’m looking forward to growing this business model and the overall growth strategy of the company,” Stuart concluded.
