The very wide range of products and services proposed by Sonepar through the network of branches of its operating companies, requires sales operations to be backed up by in-depth "marketing" know-how. Meeting the needs of professional customers, electrical installers, contractors, industrial companies or key account companies, selling electrical equipment and proposing tailor-made services is therefore handled by sales teams associates and customer and supplier marketing specialists.
Counter sales people: Sonepar's first contact with customers, they have the right skills to welcome and listen to customer's needs, combined with their technical know-how, and participate in developing the branch's sales. - Welcome customers who come to the branch - Provide the products requested - Provide technical advice - Use the IT system to check product availability and track orders - Check the conditions granted to customers
Inside sales person: based at the branch full-time, they handle customer phone calls, working closely with the sales rep.
- Track quotes and orders - Provide technical advice - Look for products and prices in manufacturer catalogs - Check product availability in branch or operating company stock
Sales reps: they develop the volume of business and the profitability of their sector, leveraging the support of branch or operating company specialists.
- Visit professional customers (electrical installors, specifiers, etc.) - Identify future projects - Provide technical advice - Prepare quotes, negotiate and conclude deals
Branch managers: guarantee of the group's professional image, they have managerial skills.
- Manage the commercial, financial and human aspects of the profit center effectively - Develop revenues and margins - Motivate their teams (sales reps, product specialists, stock-shipping teams, administrative staff etc.) in line with Sonepar spirit
Key account managers: working in an operating company or country holding, they liaise between the group and the network delivering the products for national or international customers. Key account managers have recognized negotiation and coordination skills.

Technical sales men: expert of their domain, they complete the commercial offer for customers thanks to their technical knowledge.
- Provide practical advice to customers to facilitate their choices - Participate in the development of sales with the sales reps - Leverage their knowledge of the market to extend the operating company's product offer
Marketing specialists: working in an operating company or holding, they are the dedicated contact for electrical equipment manufacturers.
- undertake market research - design strategy to meet customer needs - support sales technical efforts with professional, rational and communication initiatives
e-business specialists: design and implement the e-business platform to have effective workshop on that.
