Capital Lighting & Supply Golf Tournaments Benefit Two Children’s Charities
RICHMOND , VA. (September 19, 2007) - Capital Lighting & Supply, a subsidiary of Sonepar-USA donated more than $1,800 to the Children’s Hospital of Richmond and St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children in Norfolk. The donations were proceeds from raffles held during the company’s annual golf tournaments at The Dominion Club Golf Course located in Glen Allen, VA and Elizabeth Manor Country Club in Portsmouth, VA this year.
“Children’s Hospital has a mission of being a resource and provider of specialized medical and therapeutic services. Capital Lighting & Supply’s gift will help us provide specialized medical care to our patients,” said Ashley Langford, Special Events Coordinator who received the check on behalf of the hospital. “Events like the Southern Virginia Golf Tournament allow us to continue to care for children in need in the years to come.”
St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children located in Norfolk, VA was also the recipient of the donation. Since 1944, St. Mary’s has been caring for children throughout Virginia with severe disabilities who come to them as a result of birth disorders, traumatic accidents, illness or child abuse.
