Irby Opens New 60,000 square foot Regional Distribution Center in Mobile, Alabama
Regional Distribution Center Offers Convenience for Area Customers
MOBILE, AL., April 17, 2009 – Stuart C. Irby Co., one of the largest regional electrical distributors and a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, opened it’s second regional distribution center in Mobile, Alabama, on March 24, 2009. Joined by more than 250 customers and 40 Vendor Partners, Irby celebrated its new facility with training classes, facility tours, product demonstrations and of course good food. The #9 Kasey Kahne Budweiser NASCAR was also on hand for customers to enjoy. Customers also had a chance to get behind the wheel of the Richard Petty Driving Simulator and test their skills on the Pit Crew Simulator.

president, Michael C. Wigton. “Our new facility will allow us to expand our product and service offering to create greater value for our customers. We expect to introduce new value-added capabilities establishing Irby as the partner of choice,” said Wigton.
Irby’s new distribution center provides electrical products, services and project support to commercial, contractor and industrial branches in Alabama and surrounding states.
Irby’s new regional distribution center is located in Mobile, Alabama, at 3232 Moffett Road. For added convenience to our customers our old location at 300 North Water Street, Mobile, Alabama, will also remain open. The RDC is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Irby employs 40 people in the Mobile area.
