Sonepar USA’s Friedman Electric Creates New Energy SOLUTION DIVISION
Exeter, Pennsylvania (January 31, 2008) - Friedman Electric, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, has created an Energy Solution Division, a new division dedicated to Energy Savings. The new division, which is headed up by Tom Herron, Energy Products Specialist, is an effort to provide solutions to the many concerns about the rising costs of energy in the state of Pennsylvania and New York.
With fuel costs reaching record highs, and significant rate hikes advertised by some electric utilities, Friedman Electric is looking for a way to provide cost effective solutions to its customers. The new division will focus on providing products that consume less energy. Although there are some upfront costs associated with retrofitting existing systems, the long-term cost savings far outweigh any costs associated with installation.
"The rising costs of energy are usually out of the control of most consumers,” stated Herron. “However, by reducing overall levels of consumption, consumers can limit the individual impact on their monthly bills.”
Energy efficient lighting systems have proven highly effective in countering the rising costs of energy. However, lighting is only one of the many ways to save energy. Sonepar USA, which acquired Friedman Electric in 2006, has developed a sustainability program called BLUEWAY, to help educate its customers about eco-friendly products that use less energy and fewer natural resources.
Through its new Energy SolutionDivision, Friedman Electric has aligned itself with major manufacturers, including Sylvania lamps, who are dedicated to providing solutions in all aspects of the electrical industry.
